Drouzin le Mont, situated at the top of the beautiful Col du Corbier is a charming family friendly ski resort. Ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders, Drouzin offers wide open blues, steep black, challenging reds, and tree lined green runs through the forest. All of the accommodation faces the pistes, so the less active may observe their more active colleagues, and parents can watch their children taking their first steps on snow from the comfort of their balcony.

Drouzin has 15 runs served by 2 chair-lifts, 4 drag-lifts and 2 snow-wires. The Col Du Corbier is the pass which links the main resorts of the vast Portes Du Soleil ski area, being 20 minutes from Morzine, Chatel and Evian, Drouzin is well located for those looking to ski in a variety of different resorts during their stay.

Accommodation includes 12 person luxury chalets, a penthouse, family chalets, well appointed apartments, and studios, all priced very competitively with respect to other resorts in the region.

Once the snow has gone, the resort transforms into a haven of tranquility, with rustic restaurant, tennis court and many beautiful walks through the stunning alpine flowers.

For the more active holiday there is rafting, climbing, horse-riding, paragliding and swimming in the stunning lakes. Since hosting the World Championships in 2007 the Portes du Soleil has become a must for mountain bike enthusiasts. Chatel is home to ‘The Fantastiable’ a zip wire 250m above the valley floor and 3 km long. There are many chateaux and tourist attractions.

Activities

Winter

During the holidays there is a torch-lit descent and fireworks on the piste opposite the chalets and apartments. You can choose to soak up the holiday atmosphere with a vin chaud at the bottom of the slope or quite simply watch from your own balcony. After the day’s skiing the blue pistes are used as toboggan runs. Further a field in the nearby area there is the opportunity for paragliding, dog sled rides, ice skating, helicopter tours, hot air ballooning, snow scooter, snow shoeing, under-ice diving.

Morzine, Chatel, Abondance and many of the surrounding towns have great shops, markets and restaurants.

Summer

Mountain biking, swimming, fishing, lovely local villages, walking, climbing, the Fantasticable at chatel.

Eating out

Michel and Mados restaurant has been in the Col for many years and provides good savoyade food at lunch and in the evening. After a hard day skiing you can relax on the terrasse opposite the slopes and enjoy a drink or ice-cream.

Drouzin le Mont is situated in the Col du Corbier, in the beautiful Chablais region of Haute-Savoie. It’s location is great both for, activities in the mountains or exploring the areas of interest around Lac Leman (Lake Geneva). Chablais is expecting to receive Area of Natural Beauty status in the near future.

There are opportunities for grocery shopping at the resort apart from bread and milk from the restaurant, therefore it is important to have your own transport.

If hiring a car from the airport it would be advisable to do so in advance and to check that the car is supplied with snow chains (in the winter).

By Air

Geneva Airport is just over an hour away from Drouzin le Mont, however this journey is very much dictated by the time of day and weight of traffic.

From the airport you need to go down to the Lake and follow the lake road in the direction of Thonon / Evian. Once on the lake road it is extremely easy as you stay on the same road until reaching the outskirts of Thonon. At the roundabout after ‘Buffalo Grill’ you turn onto the D1005 sign posted to Morzine. Continue until you reach the D902, signed for Morzine. At the roundabout take the first exit, continue for about 15 o straight over the next roundabout towards Morzine. A few kms after passing through Le Jotty, you need to take a left onto the D32, marked Le Biot 3km. Go through Le Biot and follow the road around a tight left hand bend. There are signs to the Col du Corbier and Drouzin le Mont. The Resort is 5 kms at the top of the pass.

Snow chains - During the winter is worth putting you snow chains on as soon as you feel that you are losing traction. After the tight bend in Le Biot is an area to do this. For your own sake it worth taking the time to put the chains on earlier rather than later. Further up the road are few opportunities and other drivers will not appreciate having to lose momentum if you are lying in the middle of the road trying to put your chains on.

Appartments

During the winter, keys for the apartments will be available from 14:00 from SNOW SKI Rental shop between 8:30 and 18:30. SnowSki is situated along the road from the restaurant.  

Chalets

Clients for the chalets will be met at the chalet by the Resort Manager after 16:00. Chalet clients should phone 0450737255 or 0627377123 the night before to give an estimated time of arrival and then again about an hour before reaching Drouzin le Mont.

Appartments

On departure clients are expected to leave the property clean and tidy. Keys for apartments should be returned to SnowSki before 10:00 as an inspection will be carried out before the next clients.

Chalets

On departure clients are expected to leave the property clean and tidy having removed bed linen from the beds. Time of departure is up until 10:00. The return of the keys should be arranged the night before departure. If a deposit has been taken this will be returned on departure if the property is clean and there has been no damage.
